Planning For College 101
Are you planning on visiting colleges this summer? Do you wish you knew more about how to apply to college? Are you confused about the differences between the ACT & SAT? Do you need some answers? This seminar is designed for high school students and their parents to help get you on your way! Scroll down and to the right for class information & to select the class.
Topics covered include:
• Options after high school - 2 year schools, 4 year colleges, military, apprenticeships
• Testing - ACT, SAT, PSAT - who needs the tests, prep course options, college requirements
• Career Assessments
• College options - how to narrow the search, visiting campuses, comparing schools
• Applications - essays, interviews, letters of reference
• EPHS On-Site Admission Day
• Financial Aid, Scholarships, FAFSA
Mary Kerns will be presenting a seminar to students and their parents. The class is held at the Eden Prairie High School in the Career Resource Center, Room 154. At this time you will get the answers to the questions above and begin to explore the resources provided in the CRC to begin your college research. Cost is $30 per family.
